To Stephen on Our Tenth Anniversary

Dear Stephen...

I married you on that May day a decade ago because at the end of the day, there was no else I would rather dance with. Today I am so grateful for marrying you because there is no one else I would rather experience life with. You make me laugh when the world is off its axis. You are there. Completely whole soul there. My protector and life coach and still my favorite person to dance with. You make me a better human being.

We are both not perfect. Oh so not perfect. I don't want that anyway. I like our heat. I love your fire. I like my head in the sky and your feet tredging ground. You love the dreamer in me and I couldn't live without the drive in you. I am in love with our imperfect love.
